Job Overview:

We have an exciting contractor opportunity for a Kids Soccer Coach at the Mira Costa High School Soccer Field in Manhattan Beach, CA and Hit Factory Torrance, LA, CA. This role, ideal for mornings from 8:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. every weekend (Saturdays and Sundays), all passionate educators or teachers are welcome to apply. Don’t worry, you don’t need to be a sports player/coach/aficionado/fan etc.!

As a Kids Soccer Coach, you'll play a crucial role in shaping the future of our young athletes. We promise this is a very fulfilling job. Think of all the happy kids.

Key Responsibilities:

Fun, Safety & Development

*I promise, all you need to do is make sure that the children in your group have a ton of fun, safely. Also try to make sure they learn something new. *You don’t need to be a soccer coach to work at PLAY, all you need to know is how to have a great time with kids. If you can do that, we can teach ya the rest.

You Are More Than Just A Coach

• You will find that these kids idolize their PLAY coaches. The reason is that we teach more than soccer. You are going to get to know these kids individually and understand where they are in their developmental journey. Honestly, I think this is the more fun part of the job.

Team

• Ironically, while we aren’t asking you to be a Soccer coach, we are asking you to join a team. We are a very tight knit group of people who care a lot about making sure our environment is fun and stress free. We are excited to add new faces, just make sure you are ready to PLAY.

Communication:

• As fun as it is to PLAY, this is a job. Bummer, I know. Basically this means that we will communicate with you (in advance hopefully if we are organized) with instructions, curriculum documents and other fun work things. Please respond. If you can. Our office manager would sincerely appreciate it.

Qualifications Preferred:

*Experience working with kids. *Great communication and interpersonal skills *The willingness to wake up early on Saturdays and Sundays *Located relatively close to both our Saturday & Sunday fields. *(Manhattan Beach for Saturday & Torrance for Sunday)

Available shifts and compensation: Available shifts on Sundays and Saturdays. Compensation is $23.00 - $28.00/hour.
