Responsibilities included:

• Perform and document routine preventative maintenance and calibration procedures on the required schedule for all manufacturing equipment.
• Execute validation protocols developed for equipment and processes.
• Install and repair manufacturing equipment and general facilities repair.
• Execute methods used in the prevention, control or remediation of safety hazards.
• Assist engineers with developing, documenting, assembly and testing of computer controlled mechanical systems.
• Assist engineers with revisions and improvements to manufacturing methods and or procedures.
• Assemble of modify existing or new tooling, fixtures and equipment to ensure efficient production methods.
• Assist manufacturing with production of lenses as directed.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High-school diploma or associate degree in engineering technology or related field or combination of education and experience with electrical or mechanical systems.
• Ability to perform all assigned tasks, work independently, and complete work on schedule.
• Follow direction while displaying cooperative and positive behavior with co-workers.
• Ability to both stand or walk for 8hrs or extended periods
• Basic understanding and ability to read prints and schematics.
• Basic understanding of electronics, electronic diagnostic equipment for trouble shooting.
• Working knowledge of computer software (Microsoft Word, excel and outlook.
• Strong problem-solving skills and efficient management of time and resources.
• Ability to effectively communicate and read English.
