Euclid Heat Treating is Hiring an Induction Set-up Operator Near Euclid, OH

 
 
 

Monday - Friday, 2:00pm-10:30pm

Euclid Heat Treating is an established, family owned, commercial heat treater looking for a machine set-up technician for our Induction department. Job requires set up and operation of induction machines, quality checks on parts, record upkeep, and general housekeeping to maintain an efficient and safe working environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

A typical day will involve taking shop orders as assigned by supervisor, reviewing previous documentation to determine if prior set up/record exists or finding similar job as starting point. Then gathering required tooling – coil, locator, tools – and using prior schematic, set up the job, check tolerances using tools, run test part, quality check to ensure meets customer specs, coordinate approval with Quality team and/or Manager. You will run short or long jobs as assigned by supervisor. After a job is completed, clean up, return coils and other equipment to proper locations, and document any adjustments to process parameters.

It is the responsibility of all EHT employees to complete all required fields on the shop router paperwork accurately and consistently and track the orders into the floor tracking system in accordance with our Quality Management System.

This role will conduct required tests to evaluate the accuracy or deviation of process results and communicate information to senior staff and/or supervisor. This includes hardness testing and case depth measurement. Experience in these areas is a plus.

Teamwork is an important aspect of EHT and employees are expected to work with respect toward the team, customers, and vendors. This is a full-time position. Reliability and dependability are paramount.

Physical Demands:

  • Standing, walking on hard surfaces for 8 or more hours
  • Ability to lift, up to 50 pounds regularly
  • Ability to withstand high temperatures
  • Climbing, bending, kneeling
  • Tow motor operation (will train)

Job Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Able to meet physical demands
  • Mechanical skills
  • General electrical and hydraulic knowledge
  • Experience using hand tools, including calipers, field gauges, refractometers, measuring devices
  • Able to operate independently as well as part of a team
  • Must be able to successfully communicate with other team members to ensure customer requirements are met
  • Ability to read and follow Work Instructions

This is a 2nd shift position, but will train on 1st shift. 

Pay: $16.00-$20.00 per hour
