William Sopko and Sons, Co. is a family-owned business going into its 71st year. We are looking for an individual who is interested in a long-term career opportunity in a family-oriented environment. Benefits include healthcare contribution, 401K plan, paid holidays, uniforms supplied at no cost to employees, and an air-conditioned plant. All employees work first-shift Monday through Friday. Based upon workload, Fridays may be a half day. We carry our own lines, and are not a "job shop!"
Required experience: Must be proficient at set-up and operating CNC lathes, must be able to edit if needed. Must be able to set up, change & bore soft jaws, touch off own tooling and edit changes. Any mill experience is a plus, but not mandatory.
Required skills: Must be proficient on lathes, ability to read and follow setup sheets and instructions of established jobs, ability to read mics and calipers, ability to do self-inspections, ability to use calipers, micrometers, and a variety of thread and taper gauges. Must be able to change jaws and touch off tools, make offsets and understand "G" code programming.
