Primary Purpose:

We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Spanish Teacher to join our team at Ettevort International Preparatory Academy. The primary purpose of this role is to provide students with engaging learning experiences in Spanish, enabling them to develop language proficiency and cultural understanding while fostering leadership skills essential for success in a global society.

Qualifications:

Education/Certification:

- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university

- Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements or training for Spanish language instruction

- Demonstrated competency in Spanish language instruction

Special Knowledge/Skills:

- Proficiency in Spanish language

- Knowledge of curriculum development and instructional strategies

- Ability to manage classroom behavior and create a conducive learning environment

- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills

Experience:

- Previous experience in teaching Spanish language preferred

Major Responsibilities and Duties:

Instructional Strategies:

1. Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with the academy’s curriculum and cater to diverse learning needs.

2. Adapt instructional strategies to accommodate individual student differences and learning styles.

3. Utilize appropriate instructional materials, technology, and activities to enhance language learning experiences.

4. Collaborate with colleagues to align instructional goals and methods.

Student Growth and Development:

5. Support students in developing effective study habits and methods.

6. Conduct ongoing assessment of student progress and provide timely feedback.

7. Actively participate in extracurricular activities and initiatives to support student growth and development.

Classroom Management and Organization:

8. Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment conducive to language learning and personal growth.

9. Implement effective classroom management strategies in accordance with school policies.

10. Ensure the safety and well-being of students and classroom resources.

Communication:

11. Establish and maintain open communication with parents, students, colleagues, and the broader community.

12. Effectively communicate information related to student progress and classroom activities.

Professional Growth and Development:

13. Engage in professional development activities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.

14. Stay informed about current trends and best practices in language instruction.

Other:

15. Fulfill additional duties as assigned by school leadership.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary Range: $43,005.56 - $53,791.64 per year
