Metairie Small Animal Hospital group has been proudly serving the New Orleans metropolitan area for over 75 years! We have 6 locations throughout southeast Louisiana in the Kenner, New Orleans, and Metairie areas. In addition to our complete medical, surgical, and emergency care facilities, we also offer a wide variety of non-medical pet care services. Metairie Small Animal Hospital (MSAH) group has grown into one of the largest and most respected animal hospital networks in Louisiana.
Ideal candidates for this role have extensive business operations experience developing and leading large-scale teams (120 staff), above average EQ, strategic financial acumen of P&L $15M , strong organizational and planning skills, high levels of customer service and thrive in an entrepreneurial environment. While a background in the veterinary or human healthcare industry is ideal, it’s not required - our team is open to innovative business operations leaders from retail, hospitality or other service and servant leadership related industries!

Job Summary
The hospital General Manager is an innovative leader and key member of the veterinary hospital leadership team. The General Manager (GM) partners with the Managing Veterinarian (MDVM) and hospital leadership team to lead an efficient and profitable operation by driving revenue and managing costs, while creating a hospital culture based on high quality patient care and exceptional customer service. Responsibilities include managing, planning, and coordinating the overall operations of the hospital and cultivating a supportive and collaborative team environment. We are looking for an experienced industry visionary that can assist this high volume/high growth hospital with current and planned growth. Given the management responsibilities and the face-to-face interaction with clients and employees, on-site attendance is considered an essential job function of this position.
Ideal candidates are analytical thinkers, experienced problem-solvers, and effective communicators with a proven record of accomplishment of success in operations management and people leadership.
