East Ventura Animal Hospital is a full-service veterinary care practice in Ventura, CA that was established in 1981. Our practice is devoted to the prevention and treatment of diseases in household pets as well as reptiles, birds, ferrets, rabbits, guinea pigs, rodents (rats, hamsters, gerbils, etc), and more. Our motto is to treat every client like family and every patient as if they were our own pet.
We are looking for an experienced Veterinarian to partner with our team as a leader of our multi-doctor practice. We put an emphasis on collaboration and often get out as a team for paint nights, escape rooms, etc. If you are looking for the next step in your career and the opportunity to practice in a beautifully remodeled facility in Ventura County, then we’d love to chat with you!

Job Summary
The Managing Veterinarian is responsible for providing medical leadership for the hospital, managing Associate Veterinarians, and assuring regulatory compliance relating to the practice of veterinary medicine. The Managing Veterinarian is also responsible for creating an environment of teamwork in which quality medicine and exceptional client service are delivered.
In partnership with the Hospital Manager, the Managing Veterinarian is responsible for the financial performance and general operations of the hospital under the guidance of Divisional Leadership. In addition, the Hospital Manager and Managing Veterinarian are responsible for cultivating a supportive and collaborative team environment.

Ventura County is perfectly situated to take advantage of everything awesome in California. Its miles of coastline and vast mountain ranges may feel miles away from the city, but Los Angeles is less than a 2-hour drive from almost anywhere in VC. It’s also about 3 hours to San Diego, and less than 6 hours from San Francisco, Las Vegas, and the Sierra Nevada Mountains.
Qualifications:
Candidate must be a graduate from an AVMA-accredited college or have successfully passed the ECFVG certification program or the PAVE certification program
