Veterinary Assistant - Veterinary Emergency Referral Center of Hawaii

Supported by our modern, state-of-the-art facility, we offer a full in-house laboratory, ultrasound, CT, MRI and electrochemotherapy.

About the Job : As a Veterinary Assistant you will be responsible for :

• Triaging incoming patients and managing clients throughout their visit.
• Partnering and assisting Veterinary Technicians in patient assessment, diagnostics, treatments, and procedures.
• Obtaining and processing laboratory samples such as blood, urine, free fluid, and fine needle aspirates.
• Utilizing different modalities of imaging for patient assessment.
• Surgical assistance for minor (non-specialty) procedures.

About You :

• Ability to work in a highly collaborative environment and commitment to develop long-term relationships with colleagues and clients
• Passion for providing the highest quality patient care.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills are required, with the ability to deliver exceptional client service is expected.

Minimum Qualifications :

• Minimum of 1 year of experience working as a Veterinary Assistant is preferred, but not required. Training will be provided.
• Recent graduates with an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Technology are encouraged to apply.
• Proven track record of reliable employment.
• This is an entry level position with the opportunity for growth and professional development in the Veterinary field.
