The Role: Scrum Master Lead

To continue delivering industry leading technology, we seek an experienced Scrum Master Lead (REMOTE). In this role, you will operate as a servant leader who facilitates the Scrum process for a cross-functional development organization. You will be responsible for ensuring the organization understands and adheres to Agile principles and Scrum practices.

The ideal candidate is a passionate advocate for continuous improvement, fostering collaboration within the team, and removing impediments to progress.

Additionally, this individual will be responsible for cross team coordination of strategic software deliverables that enable Ethos Risk Services to achieve business objectives. This position will begin as an individual contributor role with the expectation that the candidate will quickly build a team that they will lead.

Specifically, you will be responsible for the following:

• Guide and coach development teams on Agile practices and principles to delivery high-quality products efficiently
• Facilitate all Scrum events: Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review, and Retrospectives
• Ensure and guide collaboration across development teams and resources
• Remove impediments that hinder the team's process and escalate complex issues
• Manage the product backlog in collaboration with the Product Owner, ensuring it is clear, transparent, and prioritized
• Champion continuous improvement by facilitating retrospectives and implementing action items
• Promote transparency and collaboration between the Scrum Team and stakeholders
• Act as Scrum expert within the organization, educating others on the benefits of the framework
• Facilitate cross organizational collaboration to smoothly roll out new features of the Ethos product suite

What You Need to Qualify:

• 5 years of experience working in Agile environments
• 3 years of experience in a Scrum Master role or similar Agile coaching position
• Experience working with cross-functional development teams
• Experience with enterprise level deliveries
• Excellent facilitation and communication skills to guide discussions and keep meetings focused
• Ability to build trust and relationships within the team and with stakeholders across the business
• Proficiency in project management tools such as Jira, Trello, or similar platforms
• A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Project Management) is a plus, but not required with demonstrably relevant experience

You'll Stand Out If You Have:

• A Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certification

This is a remote work from home / virtual position with occasional need to travel for in-person meetings.
