We are looking for an experienced Manufacturing Production Master Scheduler to join our growing team.
Responsibilities
  • Schedule Development : Develop and maintain production schedules based on customer orders, demand forecasts, capacity constraints, and inventory levels.
  • Resource Allocation : Coordinate with production teams to allocate resources effectively, including manpower, equipment, and materials, to meet production targets.
  • Capacity Planning: Assess production capacity and identify potential constraints or bottlenecks. Develop strategies to optimize capacity utilization and mitigate risks.
  • Demand Forecasting: Analyze historical data, market trends, and customer forecasts to predict future demand accurately. Adjust production schedules accordingly to ensure timely delivery and minimize excess inventory.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels and work-in-progress to ensure adequate stock availability while minimizing carrying costs and obsolescence.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration : Collaborate with various departments, including production, procurement, logistics, and sales, to align production schedules with overall business objectives and customer priorities.
  • Performance Monitoring: Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as on-time delivery, production efficiency, and schedule adherence. Identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives to streamline processes, reduce waste, and enhance productivity throughout the production cycle.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of production schedules, inventory levels, and performance metrics. Prepare regular reports and presentations for management review.
  • Risk Management: Anticipate and proactively address potential risks to production schedules, such as supply chain disruptions, equipment breakdowns, or staffing shortage.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, operations management, industrial engineering, or a related field preferred or 8 years of manufacturing planning experience.
Preferred Experience
  • Proven experience in production planning, scheduling, or supply chain management, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Proficiency in using scheduling software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Project).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and levels of the organization.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies is desirable.
  • Certification in production and inventory management (e.g., APICS CPIM) is a plus.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with leadership, multiple departments.
  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
  • Ability to maintain quality and safety standards.
  • Must have a basic understanding of manufacturing planning principles, theories, and concepts.
  • Ability to understand accounting and manufacturing systems in a research or production environment and to learn and apply basic planning tools and techniques.
  • Monitor, analyze and report performance to the production schedule using information derived from JDE MRP/MPS modules.
  • Maintain all master planning data in JDE system pertaining to accurate MPS and MRP execution.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of systems and processes to ensure optimal conversion of the MRP into detailed production plans.
  • Provide status of work in progress, material availability, and potential production problems to ensure that personnel, equipment, materials, and services are provided as needed.
  • Experience in long range and short-range planning.
  • Must be able to work with little supervision.
