We are looking for a LPN school nurse for a client in Poughkeepsie! 

As the school’s Licensed Practical Nurse, under supervision of the RN on duty, you are responsible for the overview of the health care needs of all students during afternoon and evening hours.

Compensation
$31-$33 per hour, depending on level of pediatrics experience
What is required of the School Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN):

• Current NYS Licensed Practical Nurse License
• NYS Driver’s License
• CPR Certification
• EMR experience is required
• Pediatrics experience a plus
• Previous school nurse experience preferred

What you'll do as the School Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN):

• Working in a school environment, overseeing students, including:
  • Sick visits
  • Administering medications and immunizations
  • Charting orders
  • Dealing with emergencies like injuries
• Record immunizations, health findings, and other relevant health data
• Provide first aid care and medically prescribed services.
• Maintain security of school health supplies
• Assistance with personal care and hygiene
• Maintain confidentiality of information

Schedule:

• Full Time: Friday - Monday, 11am-9pm
• Part Time: Sunday - Monday, 9am-7pm
