1st Shift-6 : 00am-2 : 30pm

Please make sure the associate is not afraid of heights as they will be operating a cherry picker pulling material from shelves at different heights.

Preferably someone that has picked before to reduce training time. Minimum expected productivity rate 50 cases per hour once up to speed.

Position Overview :

The Shipper / Receiver performs all functions associated with material movement through the Distribution Center, including material handling, paperwork, and recordkeeping.

Operates powered order pickers, forklifts, turret trucks, electric / manual pallet jacks, stretch wrapping machine, laser scanners, etc.

May be required to lift up to 50 lbs. and work on highs (up to 30 ft). Follows all DC procedures and demonstrates an understanding of DC standards and goals to achieve total Customer Satisfaction.

Performs all functions accurately and in a timely manner. Responsible for knowing and confirming to the Quality Policy.

Job Duties

Packing :

• Performs packing function by reviewing SAP packing functions or ship sets to obtain packaging instructions.
• Performs special packaging, prints and applies special labeling as required by each customer. Understands and follows the 107 specifications
• Recognizes hazardous / flammable material and prepares for shipment per established procedures.

• Manages recycling of wooden pallets and disposal of damaged pallets.
• Responsible for housekeeping and maintaining his / her workstation clean.
• Performs any related warehouse duties as directed such as trash removal, cart distribution, etc.
• Understands, follows, and participates in all safety, security, and emergency procedures
• Submits suggestions to enhance performance through individual or team efforts.
• Determines if product is damaged and require QA audit or repacking.
• Presents any discrepancies to Shift Foreperson.

Position Qualifications :

• High School / G.E.D. education and 1 year of relevant experience as determined by the Supervisor, DC Operations.
• Computer skills
