Job Title: Maintenance Supervisor

General Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to the maintenance team resulting in better machine uptime and extended machine life.
• Establish Priorities with Manufacturing Leadership, communicate with the maintenance team and assign tasks accordingly.
• Troubleshoot and problem-solve equipment downtime situations. Quickly and logically determine and resolve root problems.
• Create an environment that continuously measures and improves equipment uptime.
• Engage third-party experts as appropriate to resolve challenging maintenance issues and to teach our maintenance team necessary new skills.
• Manage maintenance work orders including priority, assignment, estimated completion time, and actual completion time.
• Establish a process to measure and improve machine availability for our top 10 critical machines.
• Urgently lead the maintenance team in response to manufacturing downtime situations.
• Establish, Track and Communicate to the maintenance team performance trends.
• Maintain ISO standards across the facility.
• Encourages and implements team member involvement.

Job-Specific Duties and Responsibilities

• Performs assigned preventive and scheduled maintenance on all equipment and machinery.
• Corrects equipment stoppage/mechanical breakdowns and repairs/replaces parts, motors, control devices, as needed.
• Performs the installation, start-up, and tryout of all new plant equipment and systems.
• Effectively administer the maintenance team including OT management, Client management, etc.
• Fabricate and repair equipment by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment.
• Investigate new technologies/Machine Capabilities to meet New Model new project demands.
• Manage maintenance work orders including priority, assignment, estimated completion time, and actual completion time.
• Ensure the maintenance team has the necessary tools and training to support manufacturing.
• Knowledge of ISO/IATF16949, hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical, welding applications, robotics stamping, cutting, forming, grinding, tool sharpening, milling, machine setup, blueprint reading, electrical schematic reading, spark testing basic carpentry and HVAC, electrical repairs, time studies, machine repair and tooling selection.
• Initiate safety concerns and make judgments on the best methods of completing tasks.
• Set priorities for preventative maintenance orders, requisitions and scheduled work.
• Work with site-wide building maintenance to ensure compliance with any construction, renovation, or updates.
• Maintain inventory of new equipment, manuals, and warranties.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• 3 plus years of Leadership and Supervision of Maintenance Personnel.
• Solid track record of team building.
• At least 3 years' experience is required. 3 years of experience in maintenance and an electro-mechanical background will be considered instead of a degree. Read, interpret, and comprehend safety, operating and maintenance documents and procedures.
• Ability to obtain/retain a Lock Out/Tag Out Authorization certification.
• Ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment to ensure delivery requirements.
• Lift to fifty (50) pounds.
• Identified candidates must be able to work overtime (daily, weekends and holidays).
