ETANO Center is currently seeking a Recovery Support Specialist (RSS) or Peer Support Specialist (PSS) to join our multi-disciplinary team in a comprehensive medication-assisted treatment program. We are seeking someone looking for part time and PRN hours. We are a recovery-based organization committed to quality care for persons with Opioid Use Disorder. Scheduled work hours for this position will be generally 4:40 AM to 10: 30 AM weekdays. Hours may vary based on clinic needs, every other weekend and holiday rotation are required.
SUMMARY
A Peer Support Specialist is someone with lived experience with a substance use disorder and who is currently living in recovery. They have been successful in their own recovery and have firsthand understanding of their healing process. The PSS will support, assist, and guide clients towards their recovery goals. The PSS will offer support through strengths-based focus by being non-judgmental, respectful, empathetic, and building trust with clients in their recovery process. The PSS will work in a multidisciplinary team of doctors, nurses, counselors, etc.
