The Financial Reporting Analyst supports the company’s external financial reporting processes and equity plan administration. This hands-on position is responsible for supporting the company’s SEC reporting processes, including planning, preparation, and review procedures associated with SEC forms. The position requires working cross-functionally to obtain information, verify data and schedules, and accurately communicate financial results in the company’s SEC filings and any other external reporting sources. The position also supports the Manager and Director of Financial Reporting in daily equity plan administration activities and ensuring that U.S. GAAP principles are properly applied by researching technical accounting questions and providing guidance on accounting pronouncements.

Necessary Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

• Prepare quarterly and annual consolidated financial statements, including the income statement, balance sheet, cash flow statement, equity roll-forward and financial statement footnotes as well as the supporting schedules
• Prepare other Form 10-Q and Form 10-K sections, including the MD&A, and update financial information in risk factors
• Support preparation of the disclosure reporting checklist and ensure the company is in compliance with SEC reporting requirements, including assessing the impact of new accounting pronouncements
• Participate preparation of the disclosure support for earnings releases on Form 8-Ks, earnings calls scripts, annual proxy statements, and other SEC forms, and other ad-hoc financial information, ensuring accuracy and consistency of financial information and relevant metrics
• Liaise closely with external auditors to manage and complete financial statement audits
• Support the technical accounting research
• Support the preparation and maintain accounting policy memos related to financial reporting and equity areas
• Manage the equity plan administration and assist shareholders as needed
• Prepare certain accounting reconciliations and journal entries
• Assist and engage with other ad hoc projects

Relationships and Roles:

• Report to the Director of Financial Reporting.
• Direct communication with other departments (mainly finance, HR and legal), employees/consultants on equity queries and external contacts such as the Auditors, technical advisors (e.g. EY, BDO), external legal counsel (WSGR, O’Melveney) and investors.

Job Specifications:

• Minimum 2 years accounting experience required, Big 4 experience strongly preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
