About the JobThe AP Clerk will work within a team of dedicated accounting professionals. As an AP clerk you will perform daily processing of accounts payable transactions in a high-volume invoicing environment.
Responsibilities
· Responsible for overseeing various accounts payable tasks.
· Responsible for assuring payments are made to all vendors employees and financial institutions in a timely
manner.
· Reconcile invoices that come in both physically and digitally from all vendors.
· Respond to vendor questions and requests via email and phone
· Facilitates payment of vendors, which may include verification of federal ID numbers, reviewing purchase orders,
and resolving discrepancies.
· Ensures outstanding obligations are credited upon payment, identifies discount opportunities, and issues
purchase order amendments or stop-payment orders as needed.
· Assists with accounting records and ledgers by reconciling monthly statements and transactions.
· Maintains & sets up new vendors and familiar with W9 & insurance.
· Prepares 1099 forms and submits to both contractors and IRS.
· Provides accounts payable information to auditors upon request.
· Creates new reports and queries as needed and other related duties as assigned to help the team.
Desired Skills and Experience
· Excellent oral and written communication skills
· Must be reliable and extremely trustworthy.
· Ability to prioritize and work in a fast-paced environment while still maintaining a high accuracy level of accuracy.
· Proficient user of Microsoft Office applications, including but not limited to Intermediate Excel
· Strong team player with excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
· Experience with Salesforce a plus
Qualifications· Minimum 3 Years of related experience
· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance preferred.
