Job Title: Production Shift Lead FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Department: Operations
Reports To: Production Supervisor
SUMMARY
Responsible for over-seeing the building, assembly and enclosures while under the general supervision of the Production Supervisor.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Ability to read, train and red-line drawings, work tickets, BOM's and wiring schematics.
Ability to use and train small hand tools, measuring tools, wiring prepping tools and machines in shop.
Oversee, train and layout the processes for the building and assembly of enclosures, sub-assemblies and modules.
Develop training schedule for the team and assembly lines.
Review work tickets, drawings and BOM's to ensure accuracy.
Ability to identify problems and evaluate solutions through corrective actions and lean processes.
Regularly seeks input from appropriate management; peers if necessary and makes sound decisions.
Ability to train and lead Assemblers on the proper procedures.
Ability to multitask multiple orders through completion.
Work with the team to increase productivity, quality and flow.
Practice lean manufacturing methods.
Abide by all rules and regulations as set forth in your employee handbook.
Sustains 5S in workstations.
Practices ESL’s core values on a daily basis.
Perform other duties/tasks as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
1 year of experience as an assembler
1-year electrical experience
1-2 years of working lead manufacturing experience strongly preferred
