About the Optometrist Opening

Escondido Eyecare is seeking a well-versed Optometrist passionate about providing personalized and individualized care to ensure excellent eye health and vision care for all patients. You’ll perform comprehensive eye exams, contact lens evaluations, and emergency eye care. Approximately 10 patients are cared for daily.

The days available are:

• Monday and Tuesday 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., with a one-hour break at 1:00 p.m.
• Wednesday and Thursday from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., with a one-hour break at 3:00 p.m.
• Friday 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with a one-hour break at 1:00 p.m.

Escondido Eyecare is offering the following benefits:

• Competitive base pay - $55 to $65/hour based on performance
• 24 hours of paid time off yearly; PTO accrues one hour per 30 hours worked after 30 days of employment; redeemable after 3 months of employment.
• 50% off frames, lenses, contact lenses, eye drops, and vitamins.

Minimum qualifications include:

• Optometry license in the state of California
• TPA certified
• Bilingual in Spanish is required

Preferred qualifications include:

• Glaucoma certified

About Escondido Eyecare

Established in 1990, Escondido Eyecare provides full-service optometry to families and residents in San Diego County of all ages, visual and medical diagnoses. Combining advanced technology, top-quality products, and expert care, patients can expect a total eye care experience. The practice specializes in comprehensive eye exams, specialty contact lenses, and the latest lens technology to prevent eye diseases. With plans to open seven days a week and add an exam lane, the business is looking for an Optometrist to join the team of six employees.

The practice is committed to providing patient-centric care and performs thorough exams to detect ocular conditions and systemic issues. The team leverages advanced diagnostic technology, including Optos retinal camera with OCT, autorefractors, digital lensometer, FDT visual field, slit lamp, phoroptor, and BIO. Patients will enjoy personalized attention from the Opticians as they browse a wide selection of fashionable eyewear—plus, the practice carries eye drops and vitamins for a variety of vision needs, and an on-site lab is available to serve patients conveniently.
