Job Summary:
Responsible for leading the planning and the execution of Erlanger corporate and community events for physicians, executives, general hospital staff, HR (on occasion) and the community. Works in conjunction with the Marketing, Public Relations, Business Development departments, and assists Executive Assistants with planning and scheduling high level meetings, dinners and events. Marketing Events Coordinator will show creativity, maintain community contacts and have strong organization skills to develop and maintain strategic, effective community and specialty events. Must display strong problem-solving skills. Must be able to anticipate project needs, discern work priorities, make confident decisive actions, meet deadlines with little supervision, and be willing to work occasional evenings and weekends. Marketing Events Coordinator manages administration and logistics of numerous one-time events, annual events, and ongoing community events and sponsorships.
Education:
Required:
Two years of college or equivalent related work experience.
Preferred:
Bachelor's Degree in PR, marketing, communications, hospitality management or related field

The individual in this position must have a minimum of five years' experience. Experience with group facilitation and special event planning for adults and children. Marketing Events Coordinator also should have a passion for and experience with volunteerism and corporate event management, someone who provides outstanding customer service, is an enthusiastic professional who is comfortable speaking in public and is able to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications:
Proven experience executing events.
Excellent communication skills, including writing, proof reading skills, and speaking.
Excellent computer skills; proficient in Word, PowerPoint, Excel and project management software
Excellent organization and project management skills
Ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects and work assignments from a variety of staff and volunteers.
Excellent interpersonal skills both in person and by phone, with high professionalism.
Self-starter and ability to accomplish projects with little supervision.
Fantastic customer service ethic and high expectations for quality.

Department Position Summary:
Marketing Events Coordinator will lead all aspects of event planning to include negotiating and booking venues, planning for food and beverages, AV, rental, signage and supplies to ensure appropriate d�cor meets quality and Erlanger brand expectations. Conduct research, make site visits, and identify resources to help teams plan accordingly. Propose new ideas to improve the event planning and implementation process, including creating and revising room layouts for each event. Serve as liaison with vendors on event-related matters, including being the day-of point of contact. Work with public relations and marketing department to coordinate marketing needs and press releases, ensuring messaging is timed and released to effectively promote events. Assist with managing on-site production and clean up for events as necessary. Coordinate and prepare event materials to include nametags, notebooks, packages, gift bags, registration lists, seating cards, etc. Close out all events as required. Assist with preparing budgets and provide periodic progress reports to the Marketing Director for each event project. Keep track of event finances including check requests, invoicing, and reporting. Coordinate appointments and scheduling of events on key stakeholder's calendar. Act as the point of contact for smaller events as needed. Some travel may be required.
