Position Title: Science Teacher

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement engaging and rigorous science curriculum that integrates biblical principles with scientific concepts.
  • Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where students feel valued, challenged, and inspired to explore the wonders of God's creation.
  • Utilize a variety of instructional strategies, resources, and technology to enhance student learning and comprehension.
  • Foster critical thinking, inquiry-based learning, and problem-solving skills through hands-on experiments, projects, and discussions.
  • Incorporate discussions of faith and ethics into science instruction, helping students understand the moral implications of scientific advancements and discoveries.
  • Assess student progress regularly using formative and summative assessments, providing timely feedback to support academic growth and achievement.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary connections and promote holistic understanding of God's world.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and administrators regarding curriculum updates, student progress, and other relevant information.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills, stay current with scientific research and advancements, and deepen understanding of Christian pedagogy.
  • Serve as a positive role model and mentor for students, demonstrating integrity, compassion, and Christ-like character in all interactions.
  • Contribute to the school community through involvement in extracurricular activities, service projects, and spiritual formation programs.
  • Uphold the school's mission, vision, and core values in all aspects of teaching and professional conduct.
  • Create and implement Friday STEAM program.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Education, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of scientific principles and concepts across multiple disciplines (e.g., biology, chemistry, physics).
  • Commitment to integrating faith and science in the classroom, recognizing God as the ultimate Creator and Sustainer of the universe.
  • Passion for teaching and mentoring students, fostering intellectual curiosity and spiritual growth.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Alignment with the school's Christian faith and values.
