The Program Specialist is responsible for overseeing the daily programming for the clients of the Options Department. This position is responsible for directing a variety of cross-disciplinary services for clients inclusive of progress notes, ISP’s / assessments, goal plans, etc. as outlined below for the individuals assigned. The Program Specialist coordinates with Operations to maintain daily operations and programming.

Must have one of the following groups of qualifications:

• Master’s Degree or above from an accredited college or university and one (1) year of work experience working directly with individuals with an intellectual disability or autism, OR,
• A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university and two (2) years of work experience working directly with individuals with an intellectual disability or autism; OR
• An Associate’s Degree or sixty (60) credit hours from an accredited college or university and four (4) years of work experience working directly with individuals with an intellectual disability or autism.
• A high school diploma or general education development certificate and six (6) years of work experience working directly with persons with intellectual disability or autism.
• Supervisory experience is preferred.
• Bachelor Degree preferred.
• Experience in management, policy development, and with state regulatory bodies preferred.
• ACRE certification is required after a specified timeframe as approved by the Director.
