Position Summary:

  • The ECO Coordinator will guide the flow of ECO’s thru the Operations organization and coordinate the processing of the documentation thru sourcing, purchasing, quality, inventory Ergotron and supplier), manufacturing, and warehouse operations. This role will verify that changes proposed on an ECO are communicated to the relevant groups impacted by all proposed changes. This might include sourcing, purchasing, quality, inventory, manufacturing, and warehouse operations. This role will work with planning to coordinate effectivity dates of each change to reduce inventory exposure across the organization and eliminate obsolete parts as much as possible. This role will work with all operational locations within the company to communicate changes and impacts throughout all Ergotron locations and warehouse and possible within customer warehouses. Once all data is gathered, this role will update the system with effectivity dates on the relevant ECO.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Review and track each ECO as it enters the system to verify that it ready for processing.
  • Coordinate with the relevant groups to verify that relevant drawings and Bills of Materials are communicated to the correct recipients (including external parties).
  • Coordinate ECO review meetings (virtual or in-person) with the team to advance discussions about changes and get answers to any outstanding questions from the reviewers.
  • Verify disposition of all changes to coordinate inventory implications and the coordination of effectivity dates.
  • Work with the relevant groups to facilitate updates to existing work instructions and Quality Control Processes and verify completion prior to ECO implementation.
  • Coorinate with the sourcing and planning group to set effectivity dates for each change proposed on the ECO and understand any inventory implications.
  • Verifies that the appropriate ECO approval group has been assigned to the ECO form.
  • Submits ECO for approval.
  • Additional duties as requested.
  • Supports “Lean Business Enterprise” initiatives for continuous process improvement and waste elimination.

Position Requirements (Knowledge and Experience):

  • Must be organized and detail oriented.
  • Familiar with management processes on engineering changes, documentation, and Quality Systems. 
  • Minimum 3 years of operational, planning, or document control experience desired.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently on specified tasks.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidential and sensitive information.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively and form relationships with all levels.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (including Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook), and Oracle
  • Must be able to perform the physical requirements of the job as described to you for the position.
