Summary

The Logistics Manager provides overall direction throughout the dedicated fleet operations and provides operational assistance to the Project Manager & Customer Deliveries wherever needed.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Maintains positive and encouraging working relations with all drivers
• Provides constant communications of service issues to appropriate drivers and department leads.
• Performs load planning, driver scheduling, and dispatch duties
• Ensures accurate and timely completion of daily and weekly tasks
• Coordinates daily on scheduling truck and trailer maintenance.
• Works with safety coordinator on driver compliance and safety issues.
• Manages and maintains GPS tracking software
• Manage and maintain new vehicle rollouts and maintenance schedule through Enterprise.
• Audits and approves driver maintenance expenses.
• Provides assistance to Project Manager wherever needed
• Work with Project Managers to ensure that all deliveries to job are accurate and on time.
• Other projects as assigned by department lead.

Skills:

• Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in logistics and/or transportation
• 3 years’ data entry experience
• Excellent customer service, problem solving, communication and decision-making skills
• Excellent typing skills with strong attention to detail and a passion for precision.
• Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be technologically savvy, able to learn new computer systems relatively quickly
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to communicate well with outside customers and fleet crew as well as all levels of internal management and coworkers
• Ability to balance workload and prioritize in a fast-paced environment to meet predetermined deadlines.
• Must be able to multi-task while maintaining attention to detail
• Knowledge of standard commercial construction practices a plus
