Equity Trust is Hiring an Accountant (FT) Near Westlake, OH
JOB SUMMARY:
- Prepares and records asset, liability, revenue, and expense entries by compiling and analyzing account information
- Facilitates and completes monthly close procedures including, but not limited to, journal entries, cash reconciliations and proofs, and balance sheet account reconciliations
- Assists with analyzing financial statements on a monthly basis and reports on variances; provides financial commentary to management
- Prepares documentation in support of financial and tax audits
- Provides back-up support for Accounts Payable and payroll processing
- Reviews bank statements
- Researches and reconciles all discrepancies
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
- One (1) year of accounting experience, preferably in a financial service company
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) candidate preferred
- Thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and knowledge of statutory accounting principles
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
- Financial Acumen
- Communicates Effectively
- Situational Adaptability
