Equity Trust Company is Hiring a Solutions Architect Near Denver, CO

JOB OVERVIEWThe Solutions Architect will lead the design of EAS’s future State technology stack with a focus on integration to best-in-class technologies delivering an industry leading client experience. This executive level role will partner with all areas of the business and participates (leads) in all phases of the Information Technology program lifecycle. They will apply their expertise in various technical disciplines while working with a variety of technology – ultimately creating the opportunity for high impact within the organization. A leader who will bring in new technologies and support of legacy and vendor systems, this individual will make core design decisions, suggest, and implement large improvements to the codebase, and provide foundation for future integrations. This role will be the lead voice for all technology-based strategy and decisions as the business continues to consume business growth both organically as well as inorganically.RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES•Designs, develops, and maintains highly specialized financial applications•Completes technical tasks (complex and otherwise), troubleshoots issues, and will research new methods and systems under minimal supervision •Plays a key role in ensuring the success of the core systems •Conducts design and code reviews to ensure that the code developed meets coding best practice guidelines, as well as unit testing, security, scalability and maintainability guidelines •Implements strategic enhancements to applications and interfaces with client systems in collaboration with others •Utilizes and maintains appropriate change control procedures and standards •Ensures day-to-day operational integrity of the system with rapid troubleshooting skills when issues arise•Promotes and implements best practices, standards and procedures including quality and delivery methodologies•Represents the application and/or IT team in working with other teams across the organization •Performs other duties as assignedQUALIFICATIONS •Minimum 10 years technology experience preferably in the Financial Services industry•Fin-Tech exposure preferred•Minimum 4 years of experience as a developer•Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field; relevant work experience considered in lieu•Financial services leadership experience requiredPROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATIONS•None requiredTECHNICAL SKILLSTo be successful in this role, you should have experience with and an understanding of the following: •C-based programming language experience (Java or C# preferred), Webservices, REST, Tomcat/IIS •Web User Interface Design •Object-Oriented Design (OOD) •Software testing (unit, system, integration, functional, performance) •Software integration via SDKs, APIs and message queues, including OAUTH •Experience with formal Version Control System (GIT preferred) •Design, build and maintain build and deployment pipelines for applications (Azure DevOps preferred) •Experience with Package Managers (like NuGet, Maven, npm or Gradle)•Thorough code debugging experience •Ability to research and present demo projects with new technologies•Agile software development and methodology •MS SQL Server 2014 and above, T-SQL •Automated build and deployment processes •Understanding of REST concepts•Understanding of Container-based technologies•Understanding of Cloud conceptsCULTURAL COMPETENCIESIn addition to our core company competencies of Cultivates Innovation, Nimble Learning, Action Oriented, Collaborates, and Being Resilient, a successful candidate in this role should exhibit the following behavioral competencies: •Strategic Mindset•Drives Results •Drives Vision and Purpose•Courage PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENTThis job operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment.
