Product Development – Full-time Lab Technologist
Seeking talent with experience in supporting product development, ideally in food consumer packaged goods. 
Job Responsibilities: The Product Development Specialist supports different technologies and product chassis across Internal Quality Platforms. Responsibilities may include any of the following, depending on the scope of the assigned projects:
• Support product development initiatives from bench top to full production while collaborating fully in a cross functional environment
• Enable projects advancement through appropriate consumer, descriptive, and discrimination testing to enhance product knowledge from its initial concept state to its appearance on grocers' shelves
• Identify cost savings opportunities by challenging formulation and processing assumptions
• Execute commercialization of projects efficiently and with excellence
• Maintain ingredient and finished product specifications with accuracy
Standard Education and Experience Levels:
- 2-year Degree or High School Degree w/7 years of directly relatable experience
- Basic computer/technology skills (Office Suite, other computer programs)
- Comfortable in processing (pilot plant or plant) environment; comfortable operating equipment
- Basic understanding of food safety and human safety
Other required skill-sets or qualifications:
- Previous work experience in a similar field (Food product development experience/laboratory experience
- Ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment; desire to learn new concepts quickly and apply in productive ways
- Strong self-starter and holds a high regard for quality of work; ability to effectively manage multiple competing priorities
- Has a strong bias for action as well as skills for problem-solving and trouble-shooting
- Ability to communicate effectively and contribute to a team environment
- Innovative thinker, creative, willing to challenge established methods and beliefs
- Passionate around the creation of food, CPG industry and consumer trends (both food and packaging) - Some assignments may require travel (post-COVID) so a willingness to travel is a plus
