Location: Hybrid - 3 Days in Office; Chicago IL 60606
Duration: 12 Month Contract
Job Description:
- Performing detailed analysis of client investment management agreements, products and prospectus.
- Agreeing with the business the required restriction monitoring for clients and company products.
- Interpreting guidelines and coding these restrictions on our system.
- Handling business queries regarding investment restrictions.
- Daily monitoring of investment guideline incidents on pre- and post-trade basis, by using our systems Sentinel
- Investigating incidents with the relevant stakeholders.
- Escalation of potential breaches to the business.
- Assisting in the development of portfolio compliance surveillance for guidelines outside of the automated restriction Systems.
- Contribution to the construction and ongoing maintenance of procedures and controls in relation to the IGM team and the monitoring of client guidelines globally.
- Ongoing maintenance of the system throughout the duration of the implementation and beyond.
You will be joining our Investment Guideline Monitoring team in Chicago. The team load and maintain all investment guidelines driven by the client, fund or relevant regulatory scheme This involves closely working with all areas of the business and colleagues on a global basis, especially Portfolio Managers, Client Relationship Managers, Product Managers, Operations and Data, Information Technology, Compliance and Operational Risk Management and Control.
The Investment guideline monitoring (IGM) has a mission to provide a global investment guideline program. Leveraging our local operating models we provide a timely on boarding of accounts, accurate investment coding , ongoing maintenance of investment guidelines and monitoring of alerts of the system. Automated investment guideline restriction is provided by a 3rd party application called Sentinel.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- At least 3 years of experience in a financial services environment, preferably within Asset Management.
- A degree level education and/or professional qualification in Accounting, Finance or Law.
- Experience on automated investment restrictions systems such as Simcorp Compliance, Sentinel, Charles River, MIG21 desirable
- An understanding of financial instruments and their attributes.
- The ability to work under pressure as part of a global team.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and have confidence to communicate with people at all levels. Remote effective communication skills.
- An analytical and detail-oriented approach and the ability to provide practical solutions.
- Self-starter, self-motivated with the capabilities for accuracy and attention to detail.
- A flexible attitude and be willing to take on responsibility.
