Epiroc Drilling Solutions LLC is Hiring a SHEQ & Facilities Manager Near Allen, TX

The objective of this role is to ensure the implementation of SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environmental, and Quality) requirements and associated Management Systems for the Allen, TX Distribution Warehouse. This position plays a pivotal role in promoting a safe and healthy work environment through heightened awareness, site audits, safety meetings facilitation, training, and recommending corrective actions to mitigate work-related injuries. Additionally, responsibilities encompass OSHA reporting and postings, record keeping, and ensuring compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local Safety & Health standards and regulatory requirements. Environmental compliance falls under the purview of the Facilities Manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure proper documentation and implementation of SHEQ requirements, including legal stipulations and those outlined in The Epiroc Way, within the designated locations.
  • Accountable for all activities related to Facility Management, including projects, contractor management, maintenance department oversight, and environmental compliance, in alignment with Epiroc policies and facility landlord agreements.
  • Implement, maintain, and communicate risk assessments related to SHEQ, including Job Hazard Analysis, for the designated locations.
  • Present SHEQ performance and facility updates at management meetings, proposing improvements as necessary.
  • Foster workforce engagement in SHEQ initiatives through collaboration meetings and feedback sessions.
  • Assist management in establishing and updating policies and targets in line with Group policies and environmental and health and safety goals.
  • Support the implementation of Group Goals within the SHEQ domain and monitor performance accordingly.
  • Provide Non-financial Sustainability reporting to the Group as per The Epiroc Way for each designated location.
  • Act as a resource for acquisitions, supplier/customer risk evaluations, and internal audits related to SHEQ.
  • Serve as the Management Representative for relevant Management Systems within the designated locations.
  • Support process mapping, process improvement, and alignment with Divisional and/or Group requirements.
  • Oversee the Epiroc Drilling Solutions Management Systems for designated locations.
  • Ensure effective communication and understanding of the IMS (Integrated Management System) and associated policies.
  • Manage internal and external auditing systems at designated locations.
  • Provide support for acquisitions and internal audits concerning SHEQ & IMS issues as requested.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree required, preferably in a Safety Related field.
  • Proven managerial experience, preferably in a global organization.
  • 10 years of work experience in SHEQ & Facilities Management, preferably in managing distribution center operations.
  • Knowledge or training in occupational health, safety, and environmental compliance with applicable regulations and standards.
  • Experience in delivering hands-on health, safety, and environmental training.
  • Strong Project Management and KPI Analysis Skills.
  • Certified Safety Professional designation and experience in Behavioral Safety strongly preferred.
  • Experience with SafeStart Personal Safety Awareness program is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Additional languages preferred, with Spanish being a plus.
  • Lean and Six Sigma certification considered advantageous.
