EPC Services Company is Hiring an Operation Manager Near Aiea, HI

We are currently looking for an experienced Operations Manager to join an innovative company in the U.S. Federal Government construction & service industry.

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for an experienced Operations Manager (OM) to organize and oversee the daily operations of our company. You will be the one to ensure that our business is well-coordinated and productive by managing its procedures and coaching its people. The OM is responsible for profitably managing all business development, administrative, and field construction activities related to EPC s Hawaii operations. This position creates, establishes, and maintains successful policies and procedures.

The OM is expected to improve efficiency and increase profits while managing the overall operations of the company.

OM duties include managing staff, overseeing the budget, overseeing the safety department, employing marketing strategies, and many other facets of the business.

The area of responsibility for this role is very wide and thus requires thorough knowledge of various company processes. The ideal candidate must be competent and able to plan many different kinds of operational activities. OM must be an excellent leader who can discover the most efficient ways to run the business.

The goal is to safeguard and augment the efficiency of the company s operations to facilitate accelerating development and long-term success.

Essential Functions To perform the job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each previously stated duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and ability necessary to succeed as an OM:

  • Liaise with superior to make decisions for operational activities and set strategic goals
  • Plan and monitor the day-to-day running of the business to ensure smooth progress
  • Supervise staff from different departments and provide constructive feedback
  • Evaluate regularly the efficiency of business procedures according to organizational objectives and apply improvements
  • Manage procurement processes and coordinate material and resources allocation
  • Oversee customer support processes and organize them to enhance customer satisfaction
  • Review financial information and adjust operational budgets to promote profitability
  • Revise and/or formulate policies and promote their implementation
  • Manage relationships/agreements with external partners/vendors
  • Evaluate overall performance by gathering, analyzing, and interpreting data and metrics
  • Ensure that the company runs with legality and conformity to established regulations

Required Experience

  • Proven experience as OM or equivalent position or able to develop internally
  • 7 years experience in the Hawaii federal construction market
  • Excellent organizational and leadership abilities
  • Outstanding communication and people skills
  • Knowledge of the industry's legal rules and guidelines (FAR, DFAR…)
  • In-depth knowledge of diverse business functions and principles (e.g. supply chain, finance, customer service etc.)
  • Working knowledge of data analysis and performance/operation metrics
  • Familiarity with MS Office and various business software
  • Business acumen, judgment, communication, solid leadership, client relations, negotiation, project management, solid construction knowledge, decision making, conflict resolution, tact, adaptability, analytical, coach, and entrepreneurial
  • Ability to handle stressful situations and is ORGANIZED

Educational Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master s Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management or related discipline from an accredited college/university is required.

Required Licenses and Certificates

  • LEED accredited is preferred but not required.

Security Clearance

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen, and be eligible to receive a Federal Security Clearance (candidates with an active Federal Security Clearance are preferred).

Must pass a background check to obtain a Security Clearance. The following events will disqualify you from being a candidate:

  • Not a U.S. Citizen
  • Bankruptcy in the last 7 years
  • Financially unstable (Foreclosure/Collections)
  • Drug or Alcohol Abuse in last 7 years
  • Felony Conviction

Financial Responsibility

  • EPC will require the following:
  • Credit Check
  • Request 3 years of tax returns
