ep energy is Hiring an Engineer, Production Near San Antonio, TX

Location: Eagle ford Shale

The primary responsibility for the Production Engineer will be working with the field organization and Asset Team members to oversee operations and production optimization for all wells, facilities, gathering systems and compressor for their specified area. The candidate will work with field and Houston-based staff to strive for maximum production and efficient operating costs through operating practices review and hands on field optimization. The candidate will also be responsible for maximizing production from the field on a total and per well basis, while driving the Verdun culture of hands-on Leadership support from technical experts to field based operations.

This role will be based in general area of San Antonio, TX .

  • Wellwork Procedures
    • Assist in development of wellwork procedures including wellbore information summarization and well history
    • Complete well diagnostics and highlevel scope of work when well intervention is required, while piecing together complete well history when making intervention recommendations
    • Assist in scheduling wellwork based on organizational needs
  • Wellwork AFE’s
    • Assist in development of AFE’s for wellwork operations
    • Assist in high-level scope of work summarization as it related to project cost
    • Complete project economics to ensure wellwork projects are viable
  • Wellwork Scheduling
    • Assist in scheduling wellwork
    • Accountable for tracking artificial lift installation timing
    • Assist in some tangible materials scheduling
  • Cost Analysis
    • Assist in daily cost tracking
    • Audit daily operational reports and ensure quality data validation, while leveraging reports to lower lifting costs and train operations Team
    • Help in identifying daily out of range cost parameters & develop ways to improve out of range cost creep, while driving learnings and takeaways to entire operations Team
  • Artificial Lift
    • Expected to design, maintain, and optimize all artificial lift systems. Optimization includes driving maximum profit, which includes maximum achievable product delivery with lowest achievable failure frequency and associated operational cost.

    • Operational Procedures
      • Postproduction analysis to match projected economics against realized as they pertain to individual projects

      • Assist in procedure auditing processes
    • Oil & Gas Production Optimization & Analytics
      • Create production trends for interpretation of production data to drive system optimization
      • Daily production surveillance required
      • Optimize entire system from the reservoir to the sales point, including well optimization, gathering line optimization and facility optimization.
        • Natural gas compressor optimization included
      • Lease Operating Expense Accountabilities
        • Trend and report on KPI’s surrounding LOE data
        • Accountable for area LOS
        • Leverage creative and innovative ways to drive costs down, while not sacrificing system integrity
      • Production Chemicals
        • Summarize KPI’s surrounding production chemicals and establish standard reports for them.
        • Track and trend chemical costs as needed
        • Chemical burn optimization
      • Operational Analytics
        • Analyze operational costs surrounding key area’s as deemed necessary by Production Team.
          • Utilize key takeaways and analytics to drive operational costs down and increase overall system efficiency.
        • Overall Process Requirements
          • Fundamental understanding of production operations, well intervention, artificial lift, system optimization, compression, field development and depletion planning
          • Familiar with all engineering aspects involved with well design, completion, workover, and well intervention (through-tubing operations, coiled tubing, electric line, slick line and production optimization)
