BradyPLUS is Hiring a Proposal Manager Near San Diego, CA

Position Overview

As the Proposal Manager, you will be responsible for actively collaborating with various departments and key stakeholders to develop clear, compelling, and winning proposals and bids. Success in this role will be measured by the ability to capture and win new business.To do this effectively the Proposal Manager needs to position BradyPLUS companies favorably against their competitors by way of written communication. The Proposal Manager plays an integral role in the company and manages the entire proposal production process, fostering clear communication with internal and external partners ensuring timely responses.

Responsibilities Include:

RFP/Bid Program Management:

  • Primary resource for questions from/assistance to Branch Bid Team Leads, General Managers, Sales Managers, Sales Reps, and other stakeholders.
  • Provide best practices for RFP response, including required information, structure, and overall responsiveness.
  • Work closely with Branch Bid Teams to ensure optimal resource utilization, efficiencies, and responses providing best chance for award.
  • Collaborate with Pricing Team on all bid opportunities.
  • Obtain executive level pricing review for significant dollar-value opportunities.
  • Meet all proposal deadlines and work with Distribution Centers to remain current on all proposal deadlines and requirements.
  • In conjunction with GMs, responsible for designating and training local RFP/Bid contacts.

Process improvement, training, and enhancements:

  • Develop enhancements to proposal process and to RFP metrics capture and presentation.
  • Qvidian proposal management software: library maintenance, usage, user training and security/access.
  • SharePoint document collaboration software: library maintenance, usage, user training and security/access.
  • Primary curator of written data for bid responses.
  • Maintain bid new and existing user adoption of bid resources.
  • Contribute to development of language describing BradyPLUS platform and legacy company capabilities.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 3-5 years of proposal management, terms/conditions review and/or government bid process experience.
  • Strong Attention to detail.
  • Prior Distribution Company or related experience a plus.
  • PMP or equivalent certification highly desired.
  • Exceptional oral and written communications skills, including strong reading comprehension.
  • Team-oriented skills with a demonstrated ability to collaborate, develop rapport, and build relationships with subject matter experts and other internal stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, project management, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in computer programs to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat.
  • Familiarity with SharePoint highly desired.
  • Experience with Qvidian or other proposal management software a plus.
  • Ability to work as an individual or on a team, with the flexibility to work non-traditional hours when necessary in an often stressful, deadline-oriented environment.
  • Ability to exercise appropriate judgment and decision-making regarding proposal development, handling classified or confidential information, and working with internal or external customers.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field or equivalent in work experience.
  • Occasional travel required.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Base Pay Range: $100,000 - $120,000 annually

The compensation range reflects the Company’s current grade for this role and reasonable expectation at the time of posting. We consider a number of factors when making individual compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, and other business factors. This role may also be eligible to participate in an annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program.

This position offers a competitive starting salary and comprehensive benefits program.
