Envoy Solutions is Hiring a Packaging Equipment Specialist – Central Region Near Glenview, IL

Position Overview

Partner with our Central Region sales team through a consultative approach to provide onsite needs assessments, secondary Packaging Equipment proposals, recommendation of accompanying products, and solutions presentation as a subject matter expert.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Drive all Packaging Equipment sales within our Central territory.
  • Assist sales teams with sales calls, needs assessments, and proposal generation/presentation.
  • Provide Technical Sales Support for Packaging Equipment and related products.
  • Consult with our vendor partners to design, sell, and implement Packaging Automation projects.
  • Partner directly with General Managers, sales teams, and the Envoy Equipment Group to target key industrial customers, qualify their potential and provide the right alignment of Equipment solutions and resources to convert business.
  • Achieve targeted Equipment revenue and margin goals
  • Provide internal and supplier support to achieve success through existing and new customers in your region.
  • Build strong and strategic relationships with suppliers through leveraging the Envoy packaging platform.
  • Build upon packaging equipment industry knowledge to evolve solutions and capabilities.
  • Collaborate with sales teams to establish, develop and acquire new business and grow existing business within an assigned pre-qualified prospecting territory. 
  • Work with sales team and sales managers to develop pursuit strategy to win packaging equipment business.
  • Develop target list of new customers.
  • Utilize CRM, relationships, prospect lists and other avenues to find new customer opportunities.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to target and execute realized sales through lead generation.
  • Manage lead generation programs.
  • Facilitate and provide on-site expertise for site assessments and product demonstrations with sellers.
  • Facilitate “installation” of new equipment.
  • Organize scheduled product training with sales team.
  • Assist with selling service programs. Support service team through sales of service and PM (Preventative Maintenance) programs.
  • Work with equipment team to build supplier relationships and support key initiatives.
  • Collaborate with potential and existing customers to fully understand their needs, wants, concerns, and expectations by seeking information and opinions.
  • Attend trainings, sales meetings, trade shows, and other company functions as required.
  • Identify product improvements or new products by remaining current on industry trends, market activities, and competitors.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; bench-marking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies.
  • Be an industry expert on newest innovations, including but not limited to selling robotics.
  • Willing and able to travel a minimum of 40% of the time throughout the Central Region.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • College degree preferred but not required.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in Industrial Packaging.
  • Specific knowledge of Flexible Packaging, Packaging Machinery and Packaging Distribution preferred.
  • PC literate, proficient with Salesforce.com and MS Office, with an emphasis in Excel and Outlook required, CAD experience preferred.
  • Excellent teamwork, interpersonal, self-motivation and communication skills required.
  • Must be able to travel regularly throughout Central Region.
  • Valid Driver’s license.
  • Willingness and ability to travel overnight 40%
