Job Description
ETC has Asbestos Inspector/ Environmental Analyst opportunities available in Michigan!
Duties & Responsibilities:
Assist with building inspection and the interpretation, application and enforcement of applicable codes and ordinances.
Complete asbestos and/or hazardous materials inspections and reporting.
Oversee and document asbestos and/or HAZMAT abatement operations
Complete post-abatement verification inspection and associated reporting
Environmental data management, compilation, and analysis.
Prepare samples for laboratory analysis, including Chain of Custody documentation
Speak with team members on a construction site, including the contractor and owner’s representatives.
Communicate with all entities keeping everyone fully informed.
Maintain equipment as required.
Understand and follow public health and safety requirements and the proper safety procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications:
High School Graduate or equivalent.
Experience with air monitoring, lead assessment/risk analysis and other industrial hygiene practices is a plus
Ability to verbally communicate and relay accurate information
Computer skills required
Must have attention to detail
Drive to succeed.
Training Provided
Asbestos Inspector Certification provided
Lead Inspector/ Risk Assessor Certification provided
NIOSH 582 Certification provided and more
Work Environment / Physical Demands
May be required to perform job duties in the field and office, during non-standard work hours, as necessary.
Must be able to lift and carry equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
