JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for the leadership and management of assigned Branch. Includes leading a team of landscape professionals, driving revenue growth, and developing and retaining client relationships.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, landscape architecture or horticulture preferred.

Experience

  • At least 10 years related work experience in commercial landscaping.
  • At least 5 years people management experience.

License or Certification

  • As required by state and federal law.
  • Valid and insurable driver license issued by the state where employed.
  • Certified Landscape Technician (CLT) preferred.

Specialized Skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, staff, and other stakeholders.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team of professionals.
  • Proven ability to drive revenue growth and increase profitability.
  • Sound knowledge of the safe operation of commercial landscape tools and equipment and industry standards.
  • Strong financial acumen, with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Experience working with commercial property managers a plus.
  • Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks simultaneously and perform well under tight deadlines.
  • Flexibility.
  • Intermediate to advanced understanding of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
  • Advanced critical thinking and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to display the highest level of leadership, professionalism, and integrity at all times.
  • Ability to read, write and comprehend English.
  • Bi-lingual English/Spanish preferred, including ability to read, interpret and translate documents and verbal presentations.

  • Extensive travel within assigned territory.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the branch, ensuring that all services are delivered to a high standard and in line with company policies and procedures.
  • Manage and motivate a team of landscape professionals, ensuring that staff are properly trained and equipped to carry out their duties.
  • Develop and implement strategies to drive revenue growth and increase profitability.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key clients, ensuring that their needs are met and that they are satisfied with the services provided.
  • Monitor financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting, to ensure that the branch is meeting its financial targets.
  • Conduct regular site visits and inspections to ensure that services are being delivered to a high standard and that any issues are identified and addressed promptly.
  • Draft and present annual budgets and quarterly business reviews.
  • Review and monitor equipment maintenance programs and recommend capital investments.
  • Ensure timely and effective action is taken on all sales lead opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain an effective interface between sales, operations and customers to ensure successful on-boarding and retention of new business.
  • Represent the company at industry events, meetings, and conferences to build the company's profile and network with potential clients and partners.
  • Champion Monarch safety practices and goals through leadership and participation in Branch safety meetings, weekly safety calls, safety appreciation events, etc.
  • Responsible for creating contemporaneous, prompt, and thorough documentation of all coaching, conversations, counseling, and performance management discussions with employees.
  • Other duties as assigned

Please note that the salary information shown below is provided in compliance with state specific laws. Salaries are based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations, and therefore may be different in other locations or operating divisions.

Pay range: $100,000 - $135,000
