Duties & Responsibilities:

• Review Comprehensive Plans for compatibility issues
• Review Land Development Codes for consistency issues
• Review Codes of Ordinances to identify pertinent challenges to development
• Adept at finding and reviewing zoning maps and Future Land Use Map
• Assist with preparing applications and supporting documentation for submittal to local and/or state jurisdictions
• Assist with proposal preparation
• Technical report writing with excellent computer skills

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree (urban planning, geography or similar) and one to three years of planning experience
• Previous consulting experience preferred
• Renewable energy (solar) approval experience desired
• Familiarity with construction plans review is also a plus

Job Requirements:

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Exceptional verbal and technical writing skills
• Occasional travel to attend agency meetings, client meetings, and conferences
• Standard work week: M-F/8:00 – 5:00
• Hybrid position that requires 2-3 days in-office as needed
