Envestnet is seeking a passionate and talented Architect to join our Technology team. This position is expected to report to either our Berwyn, PA or Raleigh, NC office.

Job Summary:

As an Architect, you will work closely with other enterprise/application architects to create solutions using the best designs in the wealth management domains. You will also need to be able to solve complex problems independently by designing or modifying technology architecture and testing the integration of software in these designs for correct functionality. You are expected to take the solution all the way to the finish line.

You should have strong hands-on technical skills, extensive knowledge of AWS Technologies, and the ability to work with senior stakeholders. You will design solution architectures and develop components of Envestnet’s next generation platform, focusing on modern user interfaces, cloud native back-end services and big data processing.

Job Responsibilities:

• Be responsible for the delivery of high-quality architectural solutions, while ensuring compliance with company policies
• Work closely with application development teams and provide guidance to maximize team productivities.
• Design and implement cloud-based application solutions in wealth management business domain in accordance with architecture principles.
• Design stable and flexible high-performance solutions, maximizing reuse and avoiding redundancy.
• Works with other stakeholders in optimizing architecture solutions.
• Work closely with senior management to ensure projects deliverables.
• Stay on top of new technologies and trends and help the organization to stay ahead of the technology curves.
• Adherence to and application of Envestnet legal, compliance, risk, business continuity and administrative policy within the role and department(s) including the timely completion of training & awareness, affirmations and testing as requested.
• As part of the responsibilities for this role, you will understand and readily support Envestnet's established corporate business practices, policies, internal controls and procedures designed to create value or minimize risk.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of senior software development experience with demonstrated ability to design software systems and to influence and assist development teams in implementing those designs.
• Bachelors’ computer science or software development
• Expertise in Spring / Spring Boot
• Fundamental wealth management business domain knowledge
• The team uses the following technologies. Good knowledge and experience in these technologies are required:
  
  • AWS solution architecture designs and implementations
  • Java / J2EE programming
  • SOA and microservices
  • Python programming language
  • SQL / Database knowledge
  • Kubernetes / Istio
  • Apache Airflow / MWAA
  • Apache Spark
  • Terraform / Gitlab
  • Basic UNIX experience and comfortable with bash
  • Agile development methodology
• Excellent verbal, written and team communication skills.
• Must be able to learn and operate autonomously.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s degree preferred
• Experience in the securities or financial services industry is a big plus.
• Experience with Snowflake is a big plus.
• Ability to support and troubleshoot React applications is also a big plus.
• Experience with Machine learning / AI.
• Experience with Grail’s application framework.
