Your Role:

• Wear multiple hats at any given time in our dynamic startup and be an integral part of the exciting technology and team growth from the very beginning.
• Lead and own the development of new technology projects to demonstrate the power of our platform, from designing, executing, and analyzing experiments using both your wet lab and computational skill sets.
• Act as an expert user of our existing platform, and collaborate on projects with our Engineering team to improve user experience and platform specifications.
• Be a creative scientist who is not afraid of experimental failure and continuous problem-solving.
• Serve as an inventor to enhance our intellectual property and/or test proof-of-concept ideas from our existing portfolio; and take a concept from zero to a fully functional technology.
• Mentor more junior colleagues and report to the VP of Product.
• Follow all company policies and health and safety codes.

Your Profile:

• PhD degree holder in Molecular Biology, Genetics, Biochemistry, Bioengineering, Biomedical Sciences, or a related discipline.
• Strong fundamental understanding of statistics, human genetics, and clinical diagnostics, exemplified by stellar publication records and awareness of trends in these fields.
• Strong data analysis skills with the ability to manipulate and extract information from large datasets using common programming languages.
• Expert with deep knowledge in quantitative molecular biology techniques beyond standard PCR, including qPCR, NGS, digital PCR, and experience in custom molecular assay design, testing, and optimization.
• Experience with PCR or NGS assay design for infectious diseases and/or liquid biopsy.
• Team player who is willing to train and mentor junior colleagues.
• Effective communicator, both verbal and written.

For this position, the base pay range is: $102,000-$155,000 per year.
