ENTERPRISE STATE COMMUNITY COLLEGE is Hiring a Workforce Training Coordinator Near Enterprise, AL

Position Summary

The Workforce Training Coordinator will be responsible for the development and implementation of workforce training for Enterprise State Community College.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Act as the College’s apprenticeship liaison with industry apprenticeship sponsors. Recruit new employers as apprenticeship sponsors.
  • Coordinate high school visits and attend college/career fairs to promote workforce trainings and apprenticeships opportunities.
  • Administer the program for distribution of wrap-around student supports; provide referrals for students to sources of academic and personal support (both on-campus and external resource providers).
  • Establish and maintain records for all work experience programs, employee contacts, and job listings for students.
  • Develop and implement a plan for communication (process and schedule for regular conference calls, emails, in-person meetings, virtual meetings, etc.) with all internal and external stakeholders.
  • Conduct frequent program assessments and share results with all stakeholders.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation for both internal review and external audits.
  • Develop and nurture relationships and recruit industry partners to participate in work experiences with ESCC students.
  • Coordinate career planning and job placement activities for students and graduates.
  • Coordinate Skills for Success trainings.
  • Coordinate all Non-credit Training with Department chairs and Workforce Director.
  • Coordinate with business and industry leaders regarding industry needs.
  • Ensure all non-credit programs are created and managed in Elevate.
  • Engage and foster collaborative partnership with local chambers, economic developers, and local non-profit organizations.
  • Collaborate with the Workforce Director, Department Chairs, Adult Education, and other departments to assess workforce needs.
  • Represent the College at meetings of various groups and organizations dealing with assigned areas of responsibilities.
  • Serve on College committees and task forces as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

OTHER SKILLS & ABILITIES:
  • Effective interpersonal, oral, and written communication and problem-solving skills.
  • An understanding of and commitment to the community college mission.
  • An understanding of apprenticeship and its benefits.
  • A collaborative management style that works effectively in a shared governance environment.
  • Competency with personal computers, mobile devices, and standard office software applications, including word processing, spreadsheets, presentation software, and online meeting software.
  • Ability to travel as necessary to conduct and coordinate project activities.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • A minimum of an Associate’s from a regionally accredited college.
  • Five (5) years’ directly related experience (manufacturing, business development, program or project management, career/technical education, academic or career counseling, etc.)

SALARY:
Salary Schedule E3 03$44,333 - $61,480, based upon the Alabama Community College System Salary Schedule to be determined by the applicant’s education and years of applicable experience. Applicant acknowledges that if selected for the position that applicant’s placement on the applicable salary schedule will be dependent upon the verified information provided.
