Credit Analyst I – Lowell, MA

What You’ll Do: 

  • Performs analyses on various commercial loan requests and line of credit renewals to determine the degree of risk in extending credit, including calculating financial ratios to evaluate customers’ financial status and ability to repay loans.
  • Collaborates with commercial lending officers and other credit staff to verify or obtain necessary information to make informed decisions on new credit applications and renewals.
  • Prepares thorough written analyses which include an analysis of financial statements, economic trends affecting the industry and the borrower, risk rating and suggested credit limitations.
  • Makes recommendation for approval, denial, or alternative loan structures. The Lead Credit Analyst reviews work product and provides regular feedback. Larger loan requests may also require review and feedback from the Credit Manager.

This position is Hybrid, Onsite, or Offsite. Candidates from MA, NH, and ME only.

Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance or other business discipline (Accounting or Finance strongly preferred); and six months or more of related work experience preferred; or
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience
