Entek is Hiring a Remote Inside Sales Specialist – Extrusion

Job Description:


Location:
Lebanon, Oregon (Relocation within 40 miles of Lebanon is required)

Schedule: Monday-Friday (This is not remote-work position)

Position Summary:
Inside sales performs tasks to support the needs of internal and external customers. This role will have primary focus on large and complex projects and retrofits. This includes daily interaction with other sales team members, internal and external customers, and other ENTEK departments.

Responsibilities:

  • Handles a variety of requests from customers, both internal and external from ENTEK, with a strong sense of urgency and dedication to excellence in customer service.
  • Prepares proposals for large and complex projects, including turn-key lines and retrofits.
  • Develops relationships with OEM equipment suppliers, and requests quotes and information from these suppliers, as needed, to complete extrusion line quotations.
  • Helps to maintain Quote Funnel document.
  • Prepares change orders for customers, using estimates from engineering, quotations from suppliers, historical costing data, etc. to determine total cost impact; then creates a concise document to submit to the customer for approval
  • Attends (and sometimes leads) internal quote review meetings
  • Demonstrates a high level of attention to detail, particularly in maintenance of customer quote and project folders.
  • Participates in customer attended quote review meetings, when requested by Regional Sales Managers (with support of the Inside Sales Manager).
  • Monitors and reviews project budget actuals and notifies Inside Sales Manager of issues where budget goals are not met, so that pricing review can take place.
  • Prepare budgetary quotes for Regional Sales Managers.
  • Review incoming extruder RFQs. Conduct any research/communication that needs to be completed to ensure an accurate and complete quote. (with the support of the Inside Sales Manager)
  • Helps to maintain large project and retrofit quoting tools.
  • Conduct and attend kick-off meetings for large projects with internal resources.
  • Creates and maintains accurate scope document for large projects and retrofits and disseminates to the internal team via kick-off meeting and emails, as needed.
  • Manage all commercial aspects of large projects from quoting to order receipt through shipment. This involves bi-weekly correspondence with the customer once the order is placed, including management of change orders throughout the project.
  • Act as the liaison between the customer and the internal team, handling all commercial issues.
  • Keeps up to date on progress payments and UCC1 filings.
  • Provide quotes for assembly related small projects that require > 8 hours of labor. This includes is not limited to vacuum stuffers, side feeders, melt pumps, and enclosures.
  • Work with other departments to obtain accurate lead times.
  • Assign and/or obtain correct pricing for the applicable parts and/or machine components. Some pricing will be standard, and some will need to be determined.
  • Performs accurate data entry into Microsoft Dynamics Ax (ENTEK’s ERP) required for processing of customer purchase orders for large projects, assemblies and parts, and issuance of parts quotes, as needed.
  • Supports outside sales team.
  • Send order confirmations to the customer.
  • Receive, respond to, compose and send email.
  • Receive and return phone calls.
  • Follows ENTEK core values.

Required Experience:


Minimum Qualifications & Experience:

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret most documents.
  • Basic mathematical skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division), required.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions to then develop reasonable solutions.
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily.
  • PC skills; Excellent Excel, Word and Outlook skills
  • Excellent communication both written and verbal with customers as well as ENTEK employees. Must be able to display excellent listening skills in person as well as over a telephone Good teamwork attitude
  • Displays the attitude and understanding that "Our business begins and ends with our customer."
  • A true understanding of customer service; must be able to immediately respond to customer inquiries, gather and research information, assemble and forward information, verify that the customer understands information and is satisfied.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience:

  • Associate degree in accounting, business or related field
  • A working knowledge of Microsoft AX or similar software
  • At least 2 years of manufacturing experience in the area of quoting and/or order entry
  • Ability to travel when required
