Other duties may be assigned.Travel forinstallation and service (in the US and abroad) as required to servicecustomers.Service andsupport for local customer base, as well.Plans assemblyprocedures, following blueprints and schematic drawings and specifications.Assemblesequipment with bolts, welds, or other fastening devices to foundation or otherstructures.Installs movingparts, such as shafts, levers, or bearings, and works them to test propermovement.Bends and installspipe for hydraulic systems.Aligns and meshesgears in gearbox to assemble system of gears using alignment & measurementtools to insure proper assembly tolerances.Performs weldingand fabrication of pipe, structural, and tube construction.Tests or assistsin testing operation of completed product. SUPERVISORYRESPONSIBILITIESThisjob may occasionally require supervisory responsibility of Assembly Tech I orAssembly Tech II positions if required to complete a job.QualificationsEDUCATION and/orEXPERIENCETradeschool program certificate; or two to four years related experience and/ortraining; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Additional InformationLanguage skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization. Mathematical Skills: Ability to comprehend and apply principles of advanced algebra, trigonometry. Ability to work with concepts such as limits, engineering equations. Reasoning Ability Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
