Summary : Seeking Composite Technicians with experience in composites manufacturing to perform composite repairs, fabricate molds and parts, and ensure quality standards.

Requirements :

HS diploma or GED required

1 - 3 years of composites-specific manufacturing experience

Basic math skills and ability to read dimensional layouts and inspection equipment (ruler, caliper, etc.)

Manual dexterity and physical capability to climb in / out of tools, work on hands / knees for majority of a shift

Knowledge of machinery usage including drills, hand sanders, jigsaws, table saws

Preferred Skills :

Ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment

Excellent attention to detail

Responsibilities :

Interface with leads, supervisors, engineers for problem-solving and process improvements

Perform composite repairs under supervision

Fabricate composite molds / parts following instructions / drawings

Lay-up dry fabric; prepare, de-mold, vacuum bag, infuse composite parts per instructions / drawings

Polish, de-burr, grind composites parts; clean tools properly using acetone as per instructions / drawings

Drill, ream countersink holes; vacuum bag parts for various curing processes (room temperature / oven / autoclave)

Assemble parts / components / sub -assemblies as directed

Operate manufacturing-related equipment as needed (forklifts / laser projectors / ovens / autoclaves / etc.)

Follow written work instructions; verify products meet quality standards outlined by management

Perform general equipment maintenance; maintain orderly work area by managing tools / equipment / material storage areas

Working Conditions :

Exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes / airborne particles / vibration / caustic chemicals within the work environment;

moderate noise levels typically present

Required safety eyewear in manufacturing area; safety shoes recommended May require travel to other site locations during the workday or occasional out-of-area overnight travel

Physical Demands : Must meet specific vision abilities (close vision / distance vision / color vision / peripheral vision / depth perception / focus adjustment) Ability to sit / climb / balance / stoop / kneel / crouch / crawl and frequently walk / stand Lift / move up to 35lbs regularly;

occasionally lift / move up to 50lbs

Pay Details : $21.00 to $28.00 per hour
