Ensoma is Hiring a Scientist II, Analytical Development Near Boston, MA

We are seeking a highly motivated Scientist II to join our Analytical Development team at Ensoma. In this role, you will organize, schedule and deliver data to support internal teams at Ensoma. You will supervise routine sample testing while tracking and trending data, as well as draft reports. You will also support external sample testing, data and documentation review, and contribute to internal and external method qualifications.
You will use your proven track record of timely project completion, executing protocols and presenting results in multiple formats to deliver a high quality of work. As needed, you will also use your expertise to troubleshoot experimental protocols in concert with colleagues across the CMC team. Responsibilities:
  • Lead routine sample analysis, supervising laboratory activity and as needed, perform methods including digital PCR (dPCR), qPCR, cell-based assays, and ELISA-type assays. 
  • Guide data workflow development and improve existing practices to reduce turnaround time without sacrificing quality.
  • Manage sample testing queue.
  • Provide expertise and draw from laboratory experience to solve technical problems to meet aggressive timelines.
  • Build and apply appropriate statistical models, maintain accurate records, review electronic laboratory notebook entries including reviewing accuracy in data analysis, and generate data-driven reports.
  • Contribute to writing and revising SOPs, development reports and/or other documentation as needed.
  • Maintain a professional laboratory environment and data delivery schedules.

Qualifications:
Required:
  • A PhD in Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or related field with at least two years of relevant post-graduate experience in a CMC setting driving routine assay workflows
  • Expertise in molecular analytics, especially qPCR and dPCR
  • Experience supporting high throughput testing environments and data workflow development.
Preferred:
  • Professional experience managing and training junior employees. 
  • Familiarity with building and iteratively improving data generation and data review workflows. 
  • Familiarity with liquid-handlers and automation.
  • Experience working on cross-functional process improvement teams
