We're currently looking for a driven and innovative Senior Java Software Developer 1 to join our team and play a crucial role in the modernization of our ClaimIQ application. Mitchell ClaimIQ is third party claim solution used by claims adjuster to perform liability and injury evaluations.

Responsibilities:

• Developing and maintaining the application using Java and Spring Boot.
• Modernizing the application using best practices for cloud deployment.
• Migrating the UI of the application to React micro-frontend framework.
• Writing efficient, reusable, and reliable code.
• Creating and consuming RESTful web services.
• Working with SQL databases, building and maintaining efficient and reliable SQL code.
• Developing unit tests using JUnit and maintaining code quality.
• Assist in third-level support of applications once delivered into Production.
• Use test-driven development and scaled agile methods to deliver products to client requirements.
• Write technical specifications and test plans, as necessary.
• Conduct unit, integration, and functional testing.

• BS in Computer Science or related field, MS preferred.
• 5 years of experience with Java, Spring Boot, JUnit, and REST web services.
• Familiarity with front-end technologies (JavaScript, HTML, CSS, React).
• Experience with relational database technologies.
• Understanding of enterprise-scale applications.
• Knowledge of cloud deployment strategies, particularly those involving microservices.
