EnLink Midstream is Hiring a Lab Technician Near Geismar, LA
Responsible for assisting in the operation of a natural gas and/or liquids processing facility to ensure quality and safety by obtaining and analyzing samples as well as maintaining lab equipment.
- Adhere to all operating and maintenance procedures as well as safety regulations in accordance with company policies
- Obtain, prepare, and analyze gas and/or liquid samples using methods such as titration, basic distillation, and gas chromatography
- Document, report, and generate records for all findings
- Test, calibrate, operate, maintain and inspect sampling and analysis equipment including gas chromatographs
- Order required chemicals and work with 3rd party contractors to analyze and regulate cooling tower
- Communicate at a technical level and interface with measurement, operations, and other stakeholders
- High School diploma or GED required. Science degree; preferred
- Valid driver’s license
- Knowledge of Gas Chromatographs; required
- Experience as Natural Gas/Petrochemical Lab Technician or comparable experience; preferred
- Must have strong commitment to safety and environmental policies
- General understanding of laboratory operations and chemistry
- Proficient computer skills
- Ability to problem solve
- Ability to manage time effectively, including timely decision making
- Ability to effectively communicate
- Basic math skills
- On call rotation
- Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds
