Position Description: Manufacturing & Process Engineer is responsible for determining methodology and designs behind producing parts, writing code for CNC machines, as well as creating blueprints and set up sheets for shop use.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Determines methodology in which the part will be produced
• Designs/manufactures fixturing, including modeling, and making drawings of necessary components.
• Manages tooling/tool room. Will work with tooling supplier to achieve this.
• Writes code for CNC machines using Appropriate software and customer supplied solid models.
• Creates blueprints, setup sheets, and other process critical documents for shop use.
• Continuous improvement of processes.
• New product integration with hands on manufacturing to confirm process validity.

Qualifications:

• 5 years’ experience in manufacturing/machining environment
  1. Knowledge of cutting tools/techniques
  2. Knowledge of different types of machines – 3, 4, 5-axis milling, turning, multi-function
  3. Knowledge of different metal types – Aluminum, Stainless, Titanium, High Nickel Alloys, etc.
  4. Knowledge of common/current metal removing processes/techniques
• 2 years’ experience programming CNC equipment-Lathe and Mill preferably.
  1. Knowledge of G and M code programming
  2. Experience with CAD/CAM software for programming and modeling – NX is a plus
  3. New process creation
  4. Continuous process improvement
• Experience with CGTech Vericut is a plus
• General computer experience
  1. Microsoft Office products – Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.
  2. Windows 10 experience
  3. Ability to navigate and understand file structure and naming convention in Windows Explorer environment
• Able to communicate effectively and efficiently with all levels of the organization
• Able to collaborate fluently in a team environment
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Possible travel as required for training and multi-site support
• EDM experience is a bonus
