Engineering/Remediation Resources Group, Inc. is Hiring an Environmental Technician Near Hawthorne, NV

Environmental Technician

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Support Compliance Leads within the Hawthorne Army Depot (HWAD) Environmental Management group by performing field related and regulatory mandated functions throughout the base
  • As the Environmental Technician, perform various physical tasks that may include but not be limited to
    • Management of waste containers including sampling, labeling, and recordkeeping
    • Set-up and operation of monitoring instrumentation to collect various environmental data from throughout HWAD
    • Perform inspections of various facilities to ensure compliance with various regulatory vehicles
    • Record and maintain accurate field notes and other necessary documentation
  • Oversee maintenance and calibration of field instrumentation and various equipment for environmental monitoring including maintaining respective logs and records
  • Embrace and practice safe working practices

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Minimum 2 years of environmental management experience
  • DOD experience
  • 40-hour HAZWOPER training or 8-hour refresher
  • General knowledge of hazardous waste/material handling skills and regulations
  • Possession of a valid driver's license and safe driving record
  • Willingness to work outdoors and at various locations on HWAD when needed
  • Basic understanding in use of MS Office suite of software

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Geology, or related field
  • 2 years of environmental management experience
  • Demonstrated experience with MS Office Suite
