We are seeking a part-time non-exempt Junior Accountant to join our dynamic team. This position will be a part of the Finance team. Our Junior Accountant will report directly to the Accounts Payable Manager.

RESPONSIBILITIES Include

• Prepare accounts payable checks, wire transfers and ACH payments
• Ensures proper authorization is obtained for all invoices, vouchers, expense reports and check requests
• Ensures accurate and timely reconciliation of all vendor accounts to vendor statements
• Assists in preparing and processing 1099s to ensure timely submission to the IRS
• Provide assistance to internal departments and outside vendors
• This position provides support to our accounting team with the day-to-day accounting tasks
• Assist with other projects as needed

REQUIREMENTS

• Experience with accounts payable and month-end close procedures
• Proficient with MS Office, and Intermedial Microsoft EXCEL skills
• Ability to perform several tasks concurrently with ease and professionalism
• Must be extremely organized and detail-oriented
• Excellent written & verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Must be able to handle confidential information

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or related field OR Minimum 3 years relevant work experience
• Professional Employer Organization (PEO) experience a plus
• NetSuite experience a plus
• Strong communication skills
• Experience with GAAP
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
