Overview

Human Resource Business Partner

Position: Permanent

Location: Tuscaloosa, Alabama

Our customer is seeking a Human Resources Business Partner who will function as a consultant to management, providing guidance on matters related to Human Resources. The HRBP will take on the role of an advocate for employees and an agent of change, evaluating and predicting HR-related requirements, and proactively communicating them to both our HR department and business management. Additionally, the HRBP will establish collaborative relationships across the HR function to deliver valuable services to both management and employees, aligning with the organization's business objectives.

Responsibilities

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Will interpret internal and external information pertaining to operations, the industry and the market allowing for the ability to propose strategy-and mission- supporting actions to align human capital with organizational needs, guide change and evaluate results.
  • Will plan, execute and evaluate tactics for recruitment, interviewing, pre-employment screening, selection, hiring, on-boarding, retention and exits--all with the objectives, goals and talent needs of the organization.
  • Will arm the workforce with knowledge and abilities for today’s productivity needs combined with career development opportunities to address tomorrow’s labor requirements benefitting both organizational and employees needs.
  • Will design, implement and evaluate programs to improve work relationships, build morale, increase productivity and retention while adhering to employment law and controlling costs.
  • Will strive to create and maintain a cohesive environment where business needs, rights and objectives complement workplace conditions and policies that meet employee rights, expectations and well-being.
  • Will actively support discussions and transfer best practices in the people management area and act as a facilitator for the management team.
  • Will manage complex and difficult HR projects cross-functionally and build a strong engaging business relationship with the internal client to establish open lines of communication and gain buy in.
  • Will analyze operations to evaluate performance of Human Resources in meeting HR and company objectives or to determine areas of improvement or policy change.
  • Will align HR departmental goals with company goals to ensure the business needs are met.

Qualifications

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Requires a Bachelor’s Degree from an Accredited College or University in Human Resources, Business Management, or closely related field of study
  • Prefer 8 to 10 years prior experience in Human Resources functions
  • Prefer a working knowledge of Human Resource functions
  • Prefer proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel
