We are seeking a full-time Warehouse Associate for our Madison Heights, MI location. Must be able to work Monday through Friday, with Saturday work when needed.

The SLI Warehouse position is responsible for picking orders, receiving, and unloading trucks, maintaining product, and moving scrap around. This person will load, unload and move shipments of various sizes using different types of equipment like stand-up, sit-down, electric and manual pallet jacks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high quality customer service while increasing profitable sales.
  • Maintain positive customer relationships and handle issues with professionalism and care.
  • Gain and maintain knowledge about all products to describe the features and benefits, answer questions and suggest related items.
  • Fulfill orders based on paperwork and understand item numbers and qtys.
  • Pull and prepare orders for shipment ensuring accuracy in a safe and effective manner.
  • Properly Load, unload, move, stock and stage inventory and products using various equipment. Forklift/Hilo, pallet jack, electric pallet jack, and hand carts.
  • Receive deliveries and stock while verifying accuracy against order. Stock shelves with received orders in proper location.
  • Check and restock inventory, inspect for damage, and verify counts. Keep appropriate records of inventory accuracy and discrepancies.
  • Deliver orders safely by following regulations, safely operating and maintaining the delivery vehicle, and using extreme caution while driving.
  • Processing of cores, scrap and defects for customer return, warranty, or scrap product.
  • Assist in physical inventory management when needed.
  • Charge and maintain batteries in stock.
  • Properly operate and maintain the facility equipment, charge nightly, monitor power source, and report any issues.
  • Maintain a neat, clean, and orderly work area/warehouse.
  • Participate in cleaning activities for areas of the building, such as, floors, displays, parking lots and outside patio.
  • Complete other tasks assigned by warehouse manager.
  • Follow all safety policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Must have a valid Driver’s License.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Forklift license (or willing to obtain).
  • Must be able to read, write and perform simple math.
  • Able to follow spoken and written instructions.
  • Ability to lift 35-50 pounds frequently and occasion up to 90lbs.
  • Mechanically inclined, must be able to use hand tools (wrenches, hammers, rachets and sockets)
  • Ability to work in temperature like the outdoors within warehouse.
  • Reliable, dependable, and professional.
  • Maintain good customer service to create positive customer experiences.
  • Maintain a safe and professional work environment.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
